Infrared-to-Visible Converters: IR-VIS Series [Detailed Datasheet, PDF]

The IR-VIS series of infrared-to-visible converters are suitable for CW and pulsed Nd:YAG laser sources, IR laser diodes and can also be used to identify mode structure.

Based on a special durable ceramic-like material the devices convert the invisible IR-radiation into visible green or orange light, combining high sensitivity with a high damage threshold. The two standard versions of the product (Type A and B) differ only in size (diameter 40 and 16 mm) and cover two IR spectral ranges from 780 to 1100 nm and from 1500 to 1550 nm.

A third version (Type QS) is for Q-switched and modelocked lasers only and covers the wide spectral range from 750 to 1580 nm. In contrast to conventional converters these components do not need any activation with light and the irradiated area does not bleach.
