Laser Physicist / Laser Engineer

Job Description:

• Development, design and production of state-of-the-art diode-pumped solid-state lasers, with emphasis on modelocked (picosecond and femtosecond) and Q-switched lasers
• Management of internal, external and international projects
• Location: Goettingen, Germany

Required Qualifications:

• Excellent theoretical background in the fields of lasers, optics, quantum electronics and nonlinear optics
• Not less than 3 years of practical experience or equivalent (for example, a Ph.D. work in diode-pumped modelocked lasers)
• Excellent technical skills in construction and operation of diode-pumped modelocked lasers
• Initiative, innovative thinking, affinity to learn new things and seeking for constant improvement of qualifications
• Motivated, hard-working and responsible person
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  
• Ability to work efficiently under time-critical conditions
• English (written and spoken)

Additional Advantageous Qualifications:

• Experience in the field of analog and digital electronics
• Experience with fiber lasers
  
• Experience in project management
